I will stamp all over 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to promote next month's bout.
Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making massive earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly proceeding.
