In the course of a engagement to Lichfield Cathedral on the start of the week, King Charles was confronted by a protester who asked him about his brother's relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The protester asked how long the King had been aware about his sibling's relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, and also questioned whether he had asked the authorities to "hide" for Prince Andrew.

Amid the protest, there were throngs of supporters and applause for the King, who was visiting Staffordshire for an event.

The Duke of York's links with Jeffrey Epstein have been under close examination in recent weeks. The prince, who relinquished his royal duties earlier this month, has categorically denied any misconduct.

"How long have you been aware about Prince Andrew and Epstein? Did you request the authorities to conceal for him?"

The monarch did not respond but continued greeting fans, some of whom chanted "Long live the King". One fan can be overheard asking him for a embrace.

Another woman outside the venue was also heard telling the heckler to "leave" and to "be quiet".

Scandal Reignited by Memoir

The controversy over Prince Andrew's links to Jeffrey Epstein has been brought back into focus by misconduct allegations repeated in Ms. Giuffre's posthumously-published book.

In the memoir, the accuser alleges she had sex with the prince on multiple times, including one instance with Jeffrey Epstein and "several other minors"

Prince Andrew, who reached a out-of-court agreement with the plaintiff in recent years, has consistently denied any wrongdoing. In a previous interview, he told BBC Newsnight he did not remember meeting Ms Giuffre "ever", and that they "did not have any sort of sexual contact."

Fresh Questions Over Lifestyle and Living Arrangements

But in recent times, fresh questions have been raised about how he is able to finance his way of life despite not being a active member of the royal family.

The disclosure that he has only ever paid a nominal fee on his Royal Lodge has intensified the examination over his housing situation - even though he made significant contributions up front, including for improvements.

The political party said he should be summoned front of MPs to give testimony about his rental agreement of his residence.

But last week, the authorities refused to give MPs time to debate the royal's titles or his residence, despite growing pressure for investigation.

The royal household has not issued a statement on whether the Duke of York might relocate of his current residence - or where he might go.
